Pricing

Priced per data source. Month to month.

You pay for each data source we connect, plus hosting at our cost. No setup fee, no per-seat charges, and no contract. If it stops being worth it, give us 30 days' notice.

What it costs

Two kinds of data sources. Two prices.

Some software hands its numbers over politely. Some has to be talked into it. We work out which is which with you before you sign anything.

  • Open data source

    $97per source / month

Software that connects cleanly and lets us pull everything we need, as often as we need it. Most modern cloud apps work this way.

    For example

    • QuickBooks Online
    • Shopify
    • HubSpot
    • A tidy Google Sheet
  • Closed data source

    $350per source / month

Software with no way in, a narrow way in, or strict limits on how much it hands over. We build the connection ourselves and keep it working when the vendor changes things.

    For example

    • An older ERP or accounting package
    • Industry software with no export
    • A supplier portal behind a login
    • The spreadsheet three people edit by hand

Every data source includes

  • 10 charts

Ten dashboard charts for every data source, pooled. Connect four data sources and you have forty to spend however you like, including charts that mix them.

  • Unlimited users

Bring the whole team. We don't charge per login.

  • Updated every night

Fresh numbers every morning, checked before they reach the dashboard.

  • A monthly meeting

We sit down with you once a month to see what's working and what you want next.

  • A shared request board

Add as many requests as you like. We work through them in order, one at a time.

Enterprise

Want to own the whole thing?

For larger businesses, or anyone planning to bring this in house one day. Priced on a call, because no two look alike.

  • You own the connections and dashboard

Not just your data. Everything we build for you is yours to keep.

  • It runs in your own cloud

Everything lives in an account your business controls, under your security rules.

  • Faster updates, guaranteed response

Numbers refreshed through the day, with response times written into the agreement.

  • Volume pricing

Lower per-source prices once you're connecting a lot of them.

FAQ

The questions everyone asks.

And a few they should. Anything missing, ask us on the call.

01 · Pricing

What counts as a data source?

Any one place your numbers live. Your accounting software is one. Your scheduling app is another. A spreadsheet the team keeps by hand counts as one too.

How do you decide whether something is open or closed?

During discovery, before you sign. We look at how each data source lets us get its data out, tell you which kind it is, and put it in your quote in writing. We don't quietly reclassify things later.

What about spreadsheets?

It depends on the mess. A sheet with consistent columns that the team fills in the same way every time is open. A file that several people edit by hand, with merged cells and a tab called "USE THIS ONE", is closed, because keeping it right takes real work.

How do the 10 charts work?

Every data source you connect adds ten charts to a shared pool. Spend them however you like, including charts that combine data sources, like profit by job using your accounting and scheduling data. Swapping a chart out or tweaking it is free. Past the pool, each extra chart is $20 a month.

What's the hosting charge?

Your numbers have to live somewhere and be crunched every night. We pass that cost through at what we pay plus 20%, itemised on your invoice. Most businesses pay $25–$100 a month. It only grows if you keep a lot of history or connect a lot of data sources.

Is there a setup fee?

Not right now. Discovery and the first build are included in the monthly price.

When does billing start?

When you sign. Discovery is free. After that we build your dashboard a piece at a time, starting with the numbers that matter most, so you're looking at something useful early instead of waiting months for a big reveal.

02 · Working together

How do requests work?

You get a shared board where anyone on your team can add a request. There's no limit on how many you add. We work through them in order, one at a time, and once a month we sit down with you to review the board and decide what's next.

What's included, and what costs extra?

Included are tweaks to existing charts (filters, layout, new goals), new charts within your pool, and fixing things when the software behind one of your data sources updates and breaks something. Extra charts beyond the pool are $20 a month each. Connecting a new data source adds that source's monthly price.

How often do the numbers update?

Every night, so the dashboard is fresh when you start your day. If you need updates through the day, that's part of Enterprise.

How many people can use the dashboard?

As many as you want. We don't charge per seat, so bring the office manager, the foremen and your accountant.

Can you bring in our old history?

For open data sources, yes. We pull in as much history as the source holds, at no extra charge. For closed data sources, digging out years of old records can be serious work, so we quote it separately during discovery.

03 · Ownership & leaving

Is there a contract?

No. It's month to month. Cancel with 30 days' notice and that's the end of it.

Who owns what?

Your data is yours, always. We own the connections we build and the dashboard they feed, which is how we keep the price low and the whole thing running. On Enterprise, you own those too.

What happens if we leave, or want to bring it in house?

We hand your data over into a cloud account your business owns. It's stored in standard formats, organised the way any data engineer would expect, so a new hire or another firm can pick it up without starting over. If you want the connections and dashboard as well, we'll quote a one-time buyout.

Why a service and not just software?

Software companies sell you another login and leave you to figure it out. We're a team that does the work. The people on your first call are the ones who build it, we work with the software you already have (including the old and weird stuff), and we stick around when something breaks.

Why use you over Databox, Fathom or the reports built into our software?

Those tools borrow your numbers. They pull a summary out of each app and show it on their charts, mostly one app at a time, and what you can build is limited to what they've thought of. We copy every record from every system into one place each night, check it, and line it up, so a job in your scheduling app matches its invoice in your accounting and its hours on the timesheet. That's what makes the good stuff possible. Charts built around how you actually run, not a template. Questions that cross systems, like profit by customer or by crew. AI you can ask in plain English, which gets real answers because it reads your actual records instead of a summary. And once a few years of history are in one place, forecasting jobs, cash and demand. The data itself stays yours, in standard formats, not locked inside someone else's app.
